Michelle Dineen

Exciting things are happening at Patterson School Foundation! Please join us in welcoming Michelle Dineen to our staff as Program Director!

Michelle is passionate about strengthening community connections between people and the land as well as supporting career choices that honor human and environmental health and wellness. She holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Appalachian State University and currently serves as Market Manager at Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture in Boone, NC. After moving to the area in 2010, she quickly became immersed in community organizing and developed a deep connection to her High Country home. Convinced that societal healing is only possible when we are empowered to do work that is fulfilling, economically viable, and harmonious with nature, she aims to help build and and support systems that create opportunities for people to do just that. As Program Director at the Patterson School Foundation, Michelle strives to curate and facilitate high-quality programming for both community members and visitors as well as to support the development of new viable food and farm businesses.
