Wild Woodworks Workshop @ Patterson School Foundation

Join us for an engaging introduction to creating functional and elegant furniture right from our forest. Over the course of this workshop, you’ll design and produce a simple custom one-piece stool from your choice of available tree trunks, using a variety of tools and a few crafty (or crude) tricks.

This event is open to all ages and skill levels (youth 12-18 may attend with supervision). You’ll have the opportunity to practice sawing, carving, fitting, and finishing a simple yet artistic and attractive woodwork of your own design. We’ll even have time to get to know some of the local living trees that generously provide our raw materials!

Full day (10am-5pm includes woods walk, design talk, and picnic lunch): $60 (available online)

Woodwork only (starts 1pm): $40 (please contact us directly for the woodwork only price)

Bring any of your own hand tools (saws, chisels, knife, axe etc) or protective gear you’d like to use, we’ll have enough here to share as well. Please wear rugged full length clothing and close-toed shoes.
