The Mushroom Foraging Workshop planned for tomorrow, Saturday, Sept 15th from noon to 4 pm, will go on as planned. The weather forecast for Patterson calls for occasional rain and wind at 10 to 20 mph for the afternoon. The instructor, Ken Crouse, will bring mushrooms from his foraging this evening and will have an orientation in Hickory Hall. If the weather gets too bad, he will conduct the entire class indoors. If it’s not bad out, he will proceed with the actual foraging on the grounds of Patterson School campus.
Please use your own judgement to decide if the weather will be safe for you to drive here. If you come please bring rain gear and boots, and meet at Hickory Hall at noon. Follow the blue directional signs for “Wiese Dorm” to get to Hickory Hall. (Remember our street address is 4646 Patterson School Drive, Lenoir, NC, if you are using a GPS.) Hope to see you here!
