One of the longest serving of the former Patterson School’s Nurses passed away April 10, 2019. Mrs. Seaver served as the Nurse and as a Dorm Parent from 1970-1977. In addition, her husband, Blanchard (Bill) was a Patterson graduate from the 1940s, and later served as the Comptroller. Shirley & Bill had three boys who all attended The Patterson School and graduated during that same time period. All of the boys later served the School in various capacities as well. So the Seaver family has been part of Patterson since the 1940s! The eldest, Danny, currently serves as ex officio and as Parliamentarian on the Foundation Board.
The Seavers have requested that memorial contributions be made to Patterson School Foundation in lieu of flowers.
In addition to the Celebration of Life Service to be held in their hometown of Kingsport, TN, there will be a second Service at our Sarah Joyce Lenoir Memorial Chapel here on Campus on Saturday, August 3, at 2:00 PM. It will be Alumni Weekend, but the public is invited to the Service as well.
