Bob Plott Returns to PSF for Writing Workshop

On Nov. 23rd we will be welcoming back noted author and historian, Bob Plott, to the Patterson School Foundation to lead a writing workshop. Over the years, Bob has published a number of books and written for major outdoor magazines. He has a wealth of experience in merging careful research with family stories.  Get insider tips on how to gather, compose, perform, and publish family stories and local history from a pro!

Attendants are asked to bring… a notepad and pen as well as their stories! In order to get the most from this process, think ahead of time about which family histories or personal stories you might like to workshop during the afternoon.

About the Instructor: In 2016 Plott was presented the highly coveted Order of the Longleaf Pine by the Governor of North Carolina in recognition of his work promoting the legacy of the Plott hound, as well as North Carolina history. He is the author of five books, including Strike and Stay: The Story of the Plott Hound (2007, History Press) and has written monthly articles for two national hunting magazines for over a decade, along with free-lance work for numerous regional and national publications. Plott has also been featured on National Public Radio, on North Carolina Public Television, and on the History Channel.

Tickets are $10
